The following is ORIGINAL TRANSCRIPTION -- Speaker and Moderator, FM Darko N. Dimitrijevic: Movie Part I -- 24th International Chess Tournament -- Pula 2010. Ladies and Gentlemen! In front of the organizing committee of this tournament, for me is a special honor and pleasure to be a moderator at the opening ceremony. My name is Darko Dimitrijevic, and since year 1984. I am the chess FIDE Master. On behalf of the Organizing Committee I welcome all of present here: - Players and members of their families, chess coaches and other accompanying persons and guests of the tournament. - Representatives of the city of Pula, - President of the Sports Association of Pula - And our special guests which I will announce shortly. For 24 years in a row (in May or June) we held in Pula, the most famous, the most popular, the most recognizable and largest single open chess tournament in Croatia. With a tradition of almost ¼. century, has participated the thousands of players and their companions from over 100 countries. Number of participants and their companions in each of these tournaments, it varied within the limits from 300 up to 600. This year, we are proud to notify you with a total of 283 registered players from 23 countries. Our tournament, PULA OPEN, has become known around the world and a number of daily visits at our website and your presence here show us and proves what I just mentioned above.
